Just 1200 Easy Steps
This is just about the biggest project I've done to date, consuming a totally unreasonable portion of my time and energy over the Winter. If you're reading about this here instead of here, I probably have to explain it from the ground up(click for more images.)
It's a training product, a tutorial, for the software I use and sell, aimed mostly at people who work in product development. It's a little "car," the outer shell of one anyway. It was a monster project, winding up with a printable version of 396 pages. Here's a not-exactly-enthralling excerpt.
I had no intention of making it that big, I was hoping for maybe 200 pages, but a few little details added up to far more work than I expected--not simply to do but to illustrate and explain thoroughly enough that a total novice could quite likely get through it without help--and I didn't want it to be simply about making a model, but to show using the software in a(very simplified approximation of a) design process, which is quite a different task from just reproducing something.
